DANENDRAN'S 1ST YEAR BDAY INVITATIONI started planning for my son’s first birthday party when he was about six months old. I started with Internet searches for boyish themes and ideas and then poured over craft books and magazines for more inspiration. At the time, I was feeling pretty ambitious and even thought about what sort of cake I would bake and how it would be decorated. I consulted friends to see what types of parties they had for their kids or what kind of parties they were planning to have.
What I found was a wide range of ideas of what a first birthday party should be. I had one friend who wanted it to be family only, at home, with a simple cake and just a few presents. Then I met a another friend who told me she had a carnival themed party for her one-year-old, complete with pony rides, a popcorn machine, and clowns. The carnival idea was cute, but way out of our budget. Not to mention that my son and his friends were at an age where clowns would’ve terrified and popcorn would’ve choked them.

So I decided I would try to fall somewhere in the middle. I would invite his cousins, friends,clown and a sand art booth for the kids.I planned to ask Azrina( My Goodie- good friend) to bake the cake.I needed a theme.Both my sons love to watch BARNEY.That made me to choose BARNEY as the theme,complete with purple and white everything would be prefect. The idea for his cake was coming together, too. I would just make a rectangle shaped cake with BARNEY’S head in it with pink canned icing; chocolate flavored.

I went to one place where I did a mental tally of just the basics I would need and it added up to nearly RM 360 ( just for the party packs). Yikes, I would certainly have to scale back my plans a little so we would be able to afford to buy her a present, too.I still I haven't figured out what my son was going to wear to the party. I want to dress him like a prince.

The annual International AIDS Memorial Day (IAMD), also known as the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial (IACM), is the largest and oldest grassroots mobilisation campaign to enhance HIV/AIDS awareness in the world, according to the Global Health Council which co-ordinates the event worldwide. This year marks the 25th year of the event worldwide.

The IAMD or the IACM is more than a remembrance event. It serves as an opportunity to educate on HIV/AIDS, create community dialogue and awareness on HIV/AIDS and the myriad of issues surrounding it, including stigma and discrimination, prevention, care and support, and treatment for the People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV).

This event, which will be held locally, also supports and inspires new PLHIVs who will be attending their first IAMD. Besides that, our Partner Organisations (POs) are carrying out 13 activities this year with their own communities.

This year, the Malaysian AIDS Council plans to open the IAMD to the public.

Highlights of the event, which will be graced by Deputy Health Minister Datuk Dr Abdul Latiff Ahmad, include:

The focus of this year’s IAMD is:

Widen the network of PLHIV community by ensuring participation by HIV infected and affected people who have never attended IAMD to join this year’s event Highlight hope for those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS; and Motive for active participation in advocacy at every level on HIV/AIDS related issues.

• - Cell phones are a common way for cheaters to communicate with their lovers. Suspicious behavior could include your partner buying a separate cell phone and setting up a separate phone account (that is billed to his office), without telling you. Even if your husband or partner doesn't have a separate cell phone, an itemized bill of calls made might prove illuminating (e.g. whether a certain number has been called frequently. Another tell-tale sign can be the deliberate deletion by him of all incoming phone calls from the caller ID!
• Home telephone calls, particularly incoming calls where he uses a low voice or hangs up quickly, may be a clue. Going out on the balcony to make or receive calls out of earshot may also raise your suspicions.
• Cheaters may have a change in sex life. That is, he stops having sex with you or he suddenly wants sex more often (see, it's not all bad!), as well as out-of-character sexual requests. Take the opportunity to check out those unexplained bruises on his neck or those scratches or back while you're there!
• Of course, there are the obvious tell-tale signs such as lipstick on his collar or the smell of an unfamiliar perfume on his body (or his clothes). The wedding ring in the back pocket of his trousers is usually a dead giveaway! What about those small, unexplained gift items? Who's thong is that? If he shows an uncharacteristic desire to be helpful with the laundry, check his underwear for secretion stains! While you're at it, check his wallet, pockets and the glove compartment of his car for condoms, unexplained receipts and pieces of paper with addresses or phone numbers on them.
• Another sign is a drop off in the amount of money going into the bank. When a man is having an affair, it usually costs him money. You know what we mean - flowers, wining & dining, romantic gifts, dirty weekends away (on the pretext of work) - money he should be spending on you! Keep an eye on whether he is spending more money than usual, by checking his bank statements and account balances, his check stubs, credit card bills and so on.
• Certain activity on the computer/internet is often a big warning sign, particularly if he spends a lot of time on the computer after you have gone to bed! Email is also a common method of communication and cheaters will often delete all incoming e-mails and outgoing emails to avoid detection. He may even have set up a new e-mail account without telling you anything about it.
• If your Intuition or gut feeling is that something is not right, then this is often the best indication that your spouse or partner may be cheating on you. When in doubt - check them out!

The Internet has made it easy for people to be tempted. Virtually anyone can jump on the net, join a chat group and very quickly find someone to play with. There are thousands of online websites solely dedicated to married men and women who are LOOKING to have an affair! There is also a direct correlation between the Internet and the ever-increasing incidence of marriage breakdown.

For women who cheat, it tends to be the guilt that catches up with them. For women who discover that their husband or partner has been cheating on them, it can be devastating. They never really thought that infidelity could happen in their relationship. Finding out that your "significant other" has been cheating on you, via the Internet, email, chat software and webcamming can be a real shock. Pornography is often a frequent part of this "online infidelity". It can often be going on right under your nose AND in your own home! Its all started the same date ,2 years ago when I finally got married to the love of my life.I dont regret making this decision till this moment.I think we are made for each other.I dont deny this.It was not a hard choice to make at that time to settledown coz we were still young.Not now,I think we are happily settled with two brilliant sons.

From the day I know you ( 7 years back) You always surprised me with gifts and bouquets.I just cant stop loving you for that.Sometimes you do make me angry coz,for certain things ( for you to know and for me to remember)but,its ok,we are still going on and we will go on.Im very sure about that.I still remember 3 years ago.Wow..Our Wedding was so damn bloody Grand.I think Our parents did a good job and they wanted us to have a real memorable Wedding.We did.After that,came Our First Edition,Kubendran.Oh!My!He is our Darling baby.I still remember the day I delivered him.You actually Cried.Yes, You wanted everything to be fine.Thats You.Then came Our second Edition Danendran last year.It was good to have you witnessing me delivering Our babies.You were there for both Our babies.You know what,Im very proud of you my Darling.

Im Not very Happy with what AK is doing sometimes.At first we both decided to start writting Blogs 'TOGETHER'.So,this blog is about me,AK & Two Little Prince.So,here I go,thats what Im Doing.But Today I realise that He created another Blog for himself.How can he do that? I was surprised to see that.He never even told me that he actually did for himself. Today when I opened My Blod Someone left a Comment. So,I opened It and I saw It was AK with his new Blog. I dont say that he cant do that....

Whatever I do I never forget to tell him.I wont say that he forgot to tell me ( how can he forget? ) It happens. Its A Saturday Afternoon..It has been long since ive 'witnessed' saturday Morning.I tried to wake up early. It never hAppen....Mani wanted to go to his Office to finish Up Some work. I have to follow him coz,i have not taken my 'Lunch'( No Chance Of Taking Breakfast Coz Its 12.30pm Now... )So,we decided to grab sumtin on the way to his office at TTDI. I suggested to go to Jaipur. which is like emm.....10 min walk from his Office. ( Less than that actually).

I had banana Leaf Rice with Mutton,Chicken Curry,Vege.Mani Had simple Dietry Food as Usual.I wont say the food wa so Good....Oklah..Boleh tahanlah....

Today is such an horrible day at work,Im not feeling well.Havin fever from monday.Actually applied for leave today but i had to postpone coz of my PAF Meeting.No One at my Department.Jenny has gone for an appointment and Thama is on leave.So its me alone with the Temporary staff.:(.Both my babies are with my In Laws at Banting.I have No choice.Waiting for the new maid to arrive on monday.I cant wait to bring them back.Its so hard to be without the kids at home.You know what last weekend i ended up cryin.......and cryin...the whole night thinking of my Kubendran. Actually Im very attached with my Kubendran Compare to Danendran ( Second Edition ) coz, eversince Kubendran was born i was not workin and all the while i was taking care of him with the help of the maid.Only recently after delivering my Danendran I started to work and you know.....My second baby is always with maid.I love my babies but...more attached to the first One.I really miss my babies so badly.Maybe thats why im falling sick very often.What to do?

Anyway....Ive applied for leave on monday and tuesday.Coz,the new maid is arriving on Saturday,so I need to train her and teach her the basic things she have to know.I still fear of leaving the kids with maid alone.So,Maybe for time being will leave them with my in laws.Let her get used to them,Then,We will bring her back here to Puchong.So,everyday have to go to my hubby's office and wait till he finishes all his work then,we will go back home.On the way we will grab sumthin to eat outside.Im just too fed up with outside food now.I really miss my maid's cooking.I dont want to talk about the 'RUNaWay Maid'.How far she can Run?

I hear many people say that Indonesian Maids are bad,they just run awaylah and all sorts of thing.Trust me all the maids are the same.No matter Which country they come from they all are the same.Firstly we shouldnt leave the kids alone at home and there must be someone to accompany them.I know many people dont have the facility of having someone to acompany them.(Dont Talk Rubbish we are having maid bcoz got no one at home) Secondly,If You are staying in Flat,Apartment,Condominium...... then the chances of the maids running away is very,very high.Thirdly and Lastly Staying around Construction Areas....thats It..........no second Though immediately they will run away,with their Romeo.My God!Nowadays Its so Hard to find a good maid.Those who have good maids Please appreciate Yours.Dont Treat them badly.Always remember we are leaving Our Loved Ones With them to take care.So,What we do thats what we get back In Return.

I have to wait and see the arrival of my maid on this saturday Morning.Oh! God Hopefully she is Good enough to take care of my kids.Wish Me Luck People.

Thaipusam is a Hindu Festival celebrated in January or February (it falls on the full moon day in the Tamil month of Thai when the astrological star, Pusam, reigns). On this day, Goddess Parvathi gave her son Murugan the invincible vel (lance) to vanquish the evil asura (demons). Thus Thaipusam is a commemoration of the triumph of good over evil.
This year, about a million people converged on Malaysia's Batu Caves to observe the rites, and I was one of them. Most of the devotees had come to give thanks for blessings received. Many had asked for something in particular -- a child or the health of a family member, for example -- and had vowed to perform one of the Thaipusam devotions such as wearing a vel, bearing a kavadi (literally, "burden," such as a pitcher or jug) or carrying a milk pot offering up the 276 steps to the cave temple. Couples who had recently been blessed with a baby carried the infant in a saffron-colored sarong slung between sugarcane poles. As part of the ritual, some devotees had shaved their heads and those of their children, brought offerings of fruit and milk and bathed in the nearby Batu River. (photo by nash)

PRIME Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has announced that the Government has declared Thaipusam a public holiday for Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya. This year’s Thaipusam falls on Wednesday (Jan 23).

Currently, Thaipusam is a public holiday in Negri Sembilan, Perak, Penang, Johor and Selangor.

Malaysian Hindu Sangam president Datuk A. Vaithilingam said the Hindus here are definitely happy as the organisation had been appealing for over 20 years for Thaipusam to be declared a holiday for the Federal Territory.

Wonder how long MIC being asking for it. Thanks to Hindraf Rally, the wish is granted in 2008! Of course, having an election around the corner plays a role too.

Worst is NST who attributed the success to MIC (Headline screams:Holiday for KL, Putrajaya thanks to MIC's efforts). In Malay, there is a proverb -"lembu punya susu, sapi dapat nama." (the cow's milk, but buffalo gets name).The news came out early when PM hinted that cabinet will consider the proposal to declare Thaipusam as public holiday, when he attended the Ponggal Festival celebration at Bukit Bintang. It became reality when he announced it on Sunday evening.
